Creative Metals standard metal building roof curbs are factory fabricated from fully welded 18 ga. (050) galvalume steel, have mitered corners, have a standard height of 6”, are pitched to match roof up to a 3” in 12” slope and insulated with 1-1/2” thick 3 lb. density fiberglass insulation to provide a thermal barrier to prevent condensation. Metal building roof curbs are available in 6 basic styles to accommodate most metal roofing applications.

MODEL MBS-1: A one piece single pitched metal building roof curb designed to fit completely over the top of the metal roofing panels. The rib covers are formed and placed on the curb flanges to mate with ribs of the existing metal roof panel and is an excellent choice where the roof panels are already installed.

MODEL MBS-2: A one piece double pitched metal building roof curb designed to fit completely over the top of the metal roofing panels. This model is often referred to as a “peak or ridge” mounted roof curb. The rib covers are formed and placed on the curb flanges to mate with the ribs of the existing metal roof panel and is an excellent choice where the roof panels are already installed.

MODEL MBS-3: A one-piece single pitched metal building roof curb designed to fit completely under the roofing panels and must be installed prior to the installation of the roof panels. This model has no rib covers and can be placed with out regard to the location of the roof panel ribs. Closure strips and rib plugs are not included. This model is an excellent choice to use with corrugated metal roofing panels.

MODEL MBS-5: A one piece single pitched metal building roof curb designed with a small portion of the top flange tucked under the roofing panel while the rest of the curbs sits on top of the roofing panel. Rib plugs for the top flange are not included but the rib covers are formed and placed on the bottom flange to mate with the metal roofing panel. This model is easily installed on existing roof panels by making a small slit in the roofing panel and sliding the curb into place.

MODEL MBS-LRC:  This is the ultimate universal metal building roof curb. This is a one-piece single pitched metal building roof curb with extra wide flanges and loose rib caps.  The rib caps are shipped loose for location and installation in the field. This versatility allows for curb installation either completely under or completely over the metal roofing panels and can be placed exactly where it’s needed without regards to the location of the roofing panel ribs.

MODEL MBS-TE: A unique “double” type curb designed for the floating or thermal expansion type roofing system. This “double” curb has an outer watertight shell that is secured to the roofing panels, which can float, expand or contract with the roofing and an inner load-bearing curb for mounting the fan or equipment. This inner curb is designed to be supported separately from the roofing panels by the structural support members of the building. This is also an ideal choice for use on double walled insulated roofing panels.
