Creative Metals standard equipment supports are factory fabricated from fully welded 18 ga. (.050) galvalume steel, have mitered corners, a full length wood nailer used as a termination point for the roofing felts, a removable 18 ga. (.050) galvalume counter-flashing top, a standard height of 8” and are readily available in four basic styles to accommodate most basic roofing designs.
MODEL: ESSS This equipment support has a built-in 45 degree “cant” measuring 3” x 3” x 3” around the bottom perimeter and a 1” wide bottom flange. This style is ideal for use on non-insulated flat roofs utilizing composite type rolled roofing as the cant allows for an easy transition of the roofing materials up the sides to the wood nailer without breaking or cracking. This style is not recommended for use on pitched or shingled roofing without adding extended bottom flanges.
MODEL: ESSSF This style equipment support has straight vertical sides and a 2” wide bottom flange making it a great all-purpose equipment support. A “self-flashing” style roof curb is designed for use on insulated or non-insulated rubber roofs but with the addition of fiber cants (supplied by the roofer) it can be used with composite rolled roofing as well. This style is ideal for use on either flat or pitched roofs but extended bottom flanges are recommended for use on shingled roofs.
MODEL: ESSRC This style equipment support has a built-in 45 degree “cant” measuring 3” x 3” x 3” and a 1” wide bottom flange but as the name implies the cant is raised up from the bottom perimeter. This style is designed specifically for use on insulated roofs and the “raised” portion of the cant can be made to the same thickness as the roofing insulation with the standard being 1-1/2” inches. This style is not recommended for use on pitched or shingled roofs without adding extended bottom flanges.
MODEL: M-ESSSF-P This style equipment support is for use on metal building roofing panels. This style has sealed openings for placement over the roofing ribs and the roof ribs or roof panels are not cut or penetrated except by the fasteners used to secure it to the roof.
From these four basic equipment support styles and available optional accessories, it is possible to manufacture equipment supports to fit almost any type of roof application. Please visit our Creative Metals online catalog for additional information and submittal data.
