Leader Industries, Inc. is based in Nashville, Tennessee. and consists of two divisions:

•  Leader Dampers & Louvers  Division
•  Creative Metals Division.

Leader Dampers & Louvers
The Leader Dampers & Louvers Division carries a full line of UL classified Life Safety products including:

• Static and Dynamic Fire Dampers
• Leakage Rated Smoke Dampers
• Combination Fire/Smoke Dampers
• Ceiling Radiation Dampers

Non-UL Classified products including: 

• Air Control Dampers
• Access Doors.

Louvers provided in 2", 4", & 6" deep sizes both in formed steel and Extruded Aluminum, with many various blade styles and performances, including Severe Duty Hurricane Rated.  Brick Vents and Shutters are offered as well.  Anodized, Prime coat, enamel and Kynar ® finishes are available.

Creative Metals
In the early 1970's Creative Metals was formed and primarily manufactured roof curbs. As business increased, and the company grew, steps were taken to expand the product line to include fire dampers.

Creative Metals bought the fire damper line from United Sheet Metal in the early 1980's and modified the name to United Air Division of Creative Metals. Further growth and the addition of more and different products followed, then in 1992 the company formed a new corporation and Leader Industries was introduced as the parent company, with United Air and Creative Metals as the divisions which manufacture the products.

Leader Industries
In January 2001, it was announced that the United Air Division would be changing it's name to Leader Dampers and Louvers.  This was done for various reasons, not the least of which being to simplify the way Leader Industries, Inc. goes to market with its products.  The Dampers and Louvers will now be one division marketed from one catalog.
